How we measure

Every number on this site comes from public data with known limits. This page says what is covered so you can read the numbers correctly.

Stores

We index Shopify stores found through public sources and read a smaller set in full: their collection pages, catalog and public profile. Counts such as "stores with a collection for this term" refer to that fully read set, not every Shopify store.

Collection pages and scores

Audits read a store's public collection pages and apply a fixed checklist: indexability, navigation, product count, intro copy, FAQ, titles, duplicate targeting, click depth and internal links. The score is relative to that checklist. Pages we could not fetch are not counted.

Category terms and search results

A term is tracked when enough stores build a collection page for it. For tracked terms we record the search results for a market at a point in time: the organic top ten and, when present, the sources an AI Overview cites. Each recording is dated on the page. Results vary by user, device and time, so a snapshot is evidence, not the whole picture.

AI Overview visibility

"Cited" means a page was listed as a source of the AI Overview when we recorded that term. "Not cited" means it was not listed then, for the terms we track — never that a store is absent from AI answers in general. Coverage grows as more terms are recorded.

Traffic, demand and authority

Traffic figures are third-party estimates. Search demand is shown in bands on public pages. Domain Rating is by Ahrefs. All three are indicators, not measurements of a store's own analytics.
