Shower and Bath Mixers

About

Shower Mixers and Diverter Mixers The shower mixer is the wall control that sets your water temperature and flow. Choosing one comes down to two questions: how many outlets it needs to run, and whether you're starting from scratch or replacing an existing mixer. Standard mixer or diverter mixer? A standard shower mixer, such as the Modern National Montpellier shower mixer, runs a single outlet. A diverter mixer adds a second control to switch water between two outlets, like an overhead rose and a hand shower, or a shower and a bath spout. If you're installing a twin shower , you'll usually want a diverter. Options include the Modern National Bordeaux, Montpellier and Star Mini shower diverter mixers, the Star Mini with a small backplate, and the Linkware Gabe diverter mixer in eight finishes. Full kits, trim kits and universal bodies Renovating? A full kit, like the Bordeaux shower mixer full kit or the Montpellier full kit in four finishes, includes the in-wall body and the visible trim. Replacing an existing Modern National mixer, or changing finishes? A trim kit, such as the Bordeaux, Nova or Star Mini 60mm and 80mm trim kits, swaps only the visible parts, and the Modern National universal shower mixer body lets you change style later without opening the wall. For coastal or outdoor showers, the Linkware Elle 316 wall mixer is made from marine-grade stainless steel.
