About

A bearing housing holds a bearing insert, locates the shaft and bolts the assembly to the machine. AIMS Industrial supplies the FYH range of bearing housings: pillow blocks, 2-bolt, 3-bolt and 4-bolt flanges, round flange cartridge housings and take-up housings, in normal, medium and heavy duty series. Most are cast iron, with small zinc alloy housings for light-duty and cleaner applications. Housings are matched to a bearing insert by series number and shaft size, so check the details against your bearing before you order. What's in the range Housing type FYH series Pillow blocks P200 normal duty (P203 to P218), PX medium duty (PX05 to PX12), P300 heavy duty (P305 to P328), PA200 tapped base (PA204 to PA210), and P000 small size zinc alloy, Clean Series (P000 to P006). Oval 2-bolt flanges FL200 normal duty (FL204 to FL218), FL300 heavy duty (FL305 to FL324), LF200 lightweight (LF203 to LF207), and FL000 small size zinc alloy, Clean Series (FL000 to FL006). Square 4-bolt flanges F200 normal duty (F204 to F216), FX medium duty (FX05 to FX12) and F300 heavy duty (F305 to F328). 3-bolt flange FB200 normal duty (FB204 to FB210). Round flange cartridge, piloted FC200 normal duty (FC204 to FC218) and FCX medium duty (FCX05 to FCX11). Take-up housings T200 normal duty (T204 to T215) and T300 heavy duty (T305 to T328). Choosing a bearing housing Start with the bearing insert you are using and its shaft size, then pick the housing series that matches it. Choose the mounting style to suit the machine: a pillow block bolts to a flat surface, a flange bolts to a face with the shaft passing through, a cartridge housing pilots into a bore, and a take-up housing lets you slide the bearing to tension a belt or chain, as on a conveyor. Match the duty class to the load, with normal duty for general use, medium duty for more demanding work and heavy duty for the toughest loads. Listings show the bolt size and shaft size in mm with inch equivalents, so match both. Always check the data
