Choosing a fume extractor Torch unit or workshop unit The EXT-1 captures fume at the torch nozzle, so the extraction point moves with the arc. It suits a welder doing regular MIG work. Its adjustable suction lets you set the airflow without disturbing shielding gas coverage. If you buy the unit only, check that it suits your torch before you order, and contact us with your torch model if you are unsure. The EX-10 and EX-30 use a rotating arm that you position near the weld, which suits changing weld positions and processes where a torch-mounted system is not an option.
