About
Pulleys carry power from a motor to a driven shaft, or guide a belt around a drive. AIMS Industrial supplies V-pulleys, timing pulleys and idler pulleys from Finer Power Transmissions, Aetna, Don Dye and Stenco, in taper lock, pilot bore and finished bore styles. Pick the pulley type that matches your belt, then narrow down by section or profile, size and bore. What's in the range Pulley type What the range includes V-pulleys Finer SPZ, SPA, SPB and SPC taper lock cast iron pulleys, SPA and SPB pilot bore cast iron pulleys, A and B section aluminium finished bore pulleys, and Mi-Lock V-pulleys for No. 1 and No. 2 bushes. Also a Stenco 1M single groove aluminium pulley with a 1/2 inch pilot bore. Timing pulleys Finer HTD 3M, 5M, 8M and 14M, T5 and T10, and imperial XL, L and H toothed belt pulleys in pilot bore and taper lock. Idler pulleys Aetna and Don Dye flat, V-belt, round belt and rubber tyre idlers, plus two Gates flat idlers, with single row, double row or 4 point heavy duty bearings. Choosing a pulley Start with the belt. V-belts run on V-pulleys matched to the belt section, such as SPZ, SPA, SPB, SPC, A or B. Toothed belts run on timing pulleys of the same profile and pitch, such as HTD 5M or T10. Idler pulleys guide or tension a belt and are chosen by belt type, section and outside diameter. Next check the bore style. Taper lock pulleys fit the shaft with a taper lock bush, pilot bore pulleys are listed with a pilot bore, and finished bore pulleys are listed with a finished bore. Then check the pitch diameter or tooth count and the number of grooves or belt width for your drive. Always check the data sheet. Confirm the section or profile, size and bore against your belt and shaft before ordering. Related ranges Belts for these pulleys are under belts , including industrial timing belts and single sided timing belts . Taper lock pulleys need a bush, so see taper lock bushes and bushings .
