A screen printing press is bought for where your shop is going, not where it is today. Stations and colors set your ceiling, and replacing a press later is expensive. A flat press can't do round goods, so this is a separate machine rather than an upgrade. What a complete screen printing setup needs The press is the visible half. You also need a way to make screens, meaning an exposure unit and a washout station, and a way to cure ink, meaning a flash cure for multi-color work and a conveyor dryer once volume climbs. Screens, emulsion, squeegees, and ink are the ongoing spend. The shop packages bundle a press, a dryer, and startup consumables in one order, so if you already run a dryer and an exposure station, buy the press on its own. How much does a screen printing machine cost? Station and color count moves the number most, since a 1-color tabletop and a 10-color carousel are different machines entirely.
