About
Multibeam Echosounders (MBES) are advanced sonar systems used to generate detailed maps of the seafloor. Unlike single-beam echo sounders, MBES devices emit acoustic pulses in a wide fan shape and use beamforming technology to capture directional information from returning echoes. This allows for the collection of multiple depth soundings in a single ping, producing a broad swathe of high-resolution bathymetric data. Ideal for hydrographic surveying, underwater research, and seabed mapping, MBES systems provide accurate, efficient, and comprehensive underwater terrain analysis.
