Our table benches are handcrafted in the Ozarks from American hardwoods, made to order, and built to the kind of standard that makes them worth passing down. Live Edge or Straight Edge — Your Call Live edge benches follow the natural contour of the tree — no two are identical, and that's the point. The organic silhouette adds character that no manufactured piece can replicate. Straight edge benches offer clean, consistent lines that work beautifully in modern and transitional spaces. Both are cut from the same quality slabs; it's purely a matter of the look you're after. Common Sizes Most table benches run between 48" and 72" to pair with standard dining tables seating 4–8 people. A 48–60" bench is the sweet spot for a 6-person table, while 72–84" suits a farmhouse harvest table built for a crowd. We build to custom lengths — if you have a specific table or space in mind, we'll size it to fit. Walnut or White Oak Our black walnut benches are the signature choice — dark, rich, and full of natural variation including sapwood streaks and grain that shifts in the light. Every knot, void, and crack is filled to preserve the character of the slab while keeping the surface smooth and ready for daily use. White oak offers a lighter, more neutral palette with a tight grain that suits farmhouse, Scandinavian, and contemporary styles equally well. Both species are sourced domestically and kiln-dried for stability. Leg Styles Choose hairpin legs for a rustic-modern look that pairs well with live edge slabs, or U-shaped legs for a cleaner, more industrial feel.
