The 20-foot enclosed trailer is the most manageable size in the 8.5-wide category — easy enough for most half-ton and three-quarter-ton trucks to handle at highway speed, and spacious enough for a single vehicle, a full contractor tool load, or a race build with room for your gear. Our 8.5x20 builds ship with tandem 3,500 lb axles, a V-nose with ATP plate, beavertail, thermal ceiling, and a super duty ramp — and accept the full range of upgrades including torsion axles, height extensions, a race package with 50-amp electrical and racing lights, and interior shelving or cabinet packages. If you're upgrading from a smaller trailer or buying your first serious enclosed unit, the 20-footer is a proven starting point that doesn't lock you into a larger tow vehicle requirement.
