UV reactive glass is quickly taking over the smoking industry as UV reactive glass has quickly become a popular among glassblowers. The beauty of these pieces is the UV reactive glass that gives off a totally different appearance, depending on the type of light illuminating the glass. Even under normal light, these pieces have a transparent neon green appearance, that adds to the aesthetic of the glass. UV works best with a ultraviolet light though, watch as the pieces vividly glow. UV works as a result of small amounts of uranium being added to the glass in the melting process. This poses no health hazards as only a trace amount of uranium is used in UV reactive glass.
