About
Beige has quietly become one of the most dependable colours in our range, soft, sun-baked and lightly textured in most of its forms, from sandy stone effect slabs to warmer-toned metro tiles. Think of it as the tile equivalent of a well-worn pair of linen trousers: comfortable, classic, and better looking than its reputation might suggest. It has taken off in recent years thanks to those warming, grounded tones that evoke spa days and a Mediterranean sort of warmth, exactly the kind of feeling worth bringing into a British home during the colder months. The range moves from pale talc and bone tones at the lighter end through to deeper caramel and warm stone shades further along, and almost all of it works happily with other colours and materials. In the UK especially, a warmer neutral like beige tends to flatter a room far more than stark white under our often grey, changeable light. At Baked Tiles, we love it in a cosy kitchen or a spa-like bathroom, anywhere you want warmth without the room shouting about it.
