About
7.5‑volt battery packs provide a reliable mid‑level voltage that is common in legacy and specialized electronics like two‑way radios, industrial equipment, or portable tools. These packs deliver enough power without needing higher‑voltage lithium systems. These packs typically use nickel‑metal hydride (NiMH) chemistry. NiMH cells have a nominal voltage of about 1.2V, so packs reach ~7.2‑7.5V through a series connection. NiMH is known for its decent capacity, good cycle life, and tolerance for moderate discharge rates. 7.5 V battery packs are a great choice when you need dependable, rechargeable power for devices that aren’t designed for very high voltages but still require more capacity and output than basic lower‑voltage packs.
