AISI 316 Similar to the AISI 304 stainless steel, it has a better resistance to the corrosion under particular circumstances and this is mainly due to the addition of molibdene. L'AISI 316 stainless steel has a very low magnetic permeability which does not change in spite of work hardening for deformation. It's used for application in the paper industry, food industry and for other processes of industrial chemistry considering its general resistance to acids, barring the hydrochloric one.
