Spherical outer bearing inserts are designed to suit a wide range of housings offered in the housed bearing unit range, and are also suitable for applications where the user's own housing is preferred. These inserts have a spherical outer and integral set screw lock. This simple locking system is suitable for most applications except where vibration is a problem. The locking arrangement consists of two knurled-cup point set screws fitted in the extended inner ring. These set screws are tightened down onto the shaft.
