Many models include a remote control for easy direction changes. Summer (Cooling): Set the fan to spin Counter-Clockwise . This creates a direct downdraft, providing a refreshing wind-chill effect. Winter (Warming): Set the fan to spin Clockwise at a low speed. This pulls cool air up and forces warm air trapped near the ceiling back down into the living space.
