Crystal rivets are two-part fixings: a faceted crystal set into a metal front piece, and a back part that locks it permanently through the material. Unlike hotfix or non-hotfix flatbacks, rivets need no adhesive or heat. The rivet post is pushed through the leather or fabric and secured to the back part on the reverse, creating a hard-wearing, permanent bond that withstands washing, movement and daily wear. This makes crystal rivets the most durable way to add crystal detail to leather goods and heavy fabrics. Back parts are chosen to suit the material thickness and are sold separately.
