About

The annual genset service list Genset service is the same short list every year: raw water impeller, oil filter, fuel filter, thermostat and the gaskets that go with them. Sierra's 23 series covers Westerbeke, Kohler, Onan, Northern Lights and Fischer Panda, so a Westerbeke impeller (23-2001) or a Kohler impeller kit (23-3304) becomes a part number lookup instead of a dealer call. Buy the kit rather than the bare impeller when the pump is coming apart. Kits like 23-3302 and 23-3300 include the cover gasket and seals you would otherwise destroy on removal. Thermostat gaskets (23-0802, 23-0803, 23-0810) are sold separately from the thermostats, which is the piece people forget until the genset is already in pieces.
