About
Cutting glass, carbon and aramid Glass and carbon dull an edge fast, and aramid barely cuts at all with a normal shear. It pushes out of the way and fuzzes. That is why the Kevlar shears here carry a serrated edge that grabs the yarn instead of sliding along it. The 3 in blade is for trimming in tight spots, the 4.5 in blade for open cuts through stacked plies. For volume work, the battery powered WBT and the rechargeable WBT2 run a rotary blade through a stack without the hand fatigue of a day cutting 1708. Wiss 10 and 12 in scissors and the 12 in serrated pair handle everyday cutting, and the rotary cutter is for straight lines against a rule.
