Tubing and the Through-Bag Port Spiral tubing goes inside the bag as the runner, so the film cannot collapse onto it and choke the line off the part. Semi-rigid 1/2 in OD polyethylene feed line carries resin in and vacuum out on an infusion, and pushes onto 3/8 in barbed fittings. Spiral comes by the foot or the roll; feed line comes in 100 ft rolls. The aluminum through-bag connector passes vacuum through the film without a mess of tape. Its stem is a 1/4 in male pipe thread, so it takes a 1/4 in female NPT (FNPT) hose barb or quick disconnect for the hose to the pump. Between the connector and the pump, use 3/8 in ID vacuum hose with a 1/8 in wall: the polyethylene feed line is too stiff to seal under a hose clamp.
