What is Reconstituted Veneer? Reconstituted veneer (also known as recon, engineered, manufactured or man-made veneer) is made from natural wood strips sourced from fast-growing, sustainable tree species such as poplar, ayous, or eucalyptus. These timber strips are sliced, dyed using water-based dyes, and laminated together into blocks, which are then sliced again to create unique patterned veneer leaves.
