A rotary machine polisher drives the pad in one direction, so it cuts harder and faster than a dual action and it is still the tool of choice for heavy defect removal, wet sanding refinement and trade bodyshop work. That extra cut comes with extra heat, so a rotary rewards a steady hand and a controlled pad speed. Full size rotaries handle serious correction across large panels, while the compact and cordless mini rotaries get into pillars, door shuts and tight radius areas a big machine cannot reach.
