Line is the cheapest part of the outfit and the one that loses the fish. Braid, monofilament and fluorocarbon across the breaking strains that cover estuary bream through to beach and offshore work, in spool lengths that suit filling a reel rather than topping one up. Braid for feel, mono for forgiveness. Braid has almost no stretch, so you feel everything and set a hook at distance, but it is unforgiving on a sudden run and needs a leader.
