Mizuno wood bats are two things: the Pro Select maple line (MZM243, MZM271, MZM110 and MZM62 turns) at about $75, and the Classic MZB271, a bamboo bat with a BBCOR stamp that is one of the most durable bats you can put in a cage. There is also a 37" maple fungo for coaches. The Pro Select maples are pro-grade wood at a price most brands charge for their practice line, which makes them a good first real wood bat. The MZB271 bamboo is laminated for strength, weighs in at -3, and is legal in BBCOR play; it will outlast several solid maples if your player takes a lot of cage swings. Sizes 30" to 34".
