Youth wood bats are 26" to 30" versions of the pro turns, built for players 8 to 13 who want to train with wood or play in a wood-bat league. Rawlings makes the Big Stick Elite 151Y and 162Y and youth Player Preferred; Marucci has youth versions of the AP5, AM22, TVT, Bregman and Lindor models and the Gamer; Victus scales down the Tatis Jr, JROD JR and YI13 in birch and maple; Old Hickory makes the KG1Y; and Axe has a youth maple-composite with the Axe handle. Youth wood bats are typically -5 to -7 and run $45 to $130. They are legal in Little League and USA Bat play with a 2 5/8" or smaller barrel and do not need a stamp.
