About

The Alec Bradley Project 40 cigar was Cigar Aficionado’s #24 Cigar of 2019, with a respectable 92-point rating. Using Nicaraguan and Brazilian tobacco, this one brings a ton of interesting flavor, from creamy almonds to raisins, to a tasteful note of white pepper that keeps kicking all along the way. The Alec Bradley Project 40 cigar is from the Alec Bradley Experimental Series of cigars. As far as we can tell, this is the first cigar in the line. We’re not totally sure what the series is about, but the inspiration behind the Project 40 is interesting. It’s based on a well-studied principle that describes how much of our own happiness is under our control as a matter of choice. About half of our ability to be happy comes from genetics, something like 10% can be ascribed to chance, and the remaining 40% (research suggests) is dependent on our outlook. A cigar like this really gives you something to think about while you’re puffing along, right? The blend is rolled up at Jesus Fuego’s factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The Alec Bradley Project 40 cigar starts with hearty Nicaraguan tobacco as filler, then brings in a spicy Brazilian Habano-Seed binder, and finishes with a Nicaraguan wrapper. It’s a different kind of blend from Alec Bradley, a company really known for Honduran blends. It’s a certified treat, though, with 92 points to recommend it. Are you the master of your own destiny? This is your cigar. Please browse our selection of Alec Bradley Project 40 cigars at your leisure.
