What is a DC fuse? A DC fuse is a polarity-rated sacrificial overcurrent protection device for direct-current circuits — photovoltaic strings, battery banks, EV chargers, and DC motor circuits. DC arcs don't extinguish at the zero-crossing of AC, so DC fuses use longer arc paths and higher voltage ratings: 1000 V DC for residential PV (CNC RT18-32, 15–32 A) and 1500 V DC for commercial PV (CNC RT18-63, 20–32 A). Built to IEC 60269-6 for PV-class gPV fuses. The fuse holder must match the same DC voltage rating to maintain the system's protection class.
