What is a power capacitor? A power capacitor is a low-voltage shunt capacitor (self-healing metallized polypropylene film) installed in 3-phase industrial panels to supply reactive power locally and correct power factor. Pakistani LT industrial systems are 400 V line-to-line, so power capacitors are rated 440 V (10% above operating voltage per IEC 60831). The CNC BSMJ0.44 family covers 15, 25, and 50 kvar 3-phase units — PKR 6,700 / 9,900 / 18,900 respectively.
