What is a V/A selector switch? A V/A selector switch is a multi-position rotary cam switch that lets a single panel meter (voltmeter or ammeter) read multiple input sources by mechanically connecting the meter to one source at a time. Pakistani 3-phase panels use a single voltmeter (e.g. YCMV3) with a voltmeter selector switch to read each L-L pair (R-Y, Y-B, R-B) and each L-N pair without three separate meters. Built to IEC 60947-3 , the LW28-20 family covers 20 A volt-selector, 20 A ampere-selector, and 63 A 3-position phase selector configurations. It's an electrical panel essential — every 3-phase factory main board has 2 of them (one for V, one for A).
