Back in 2011, our founder Kristen Voisey opened her first shop "BYOB" in Toronto's famed Queen West neighbourhood. The craft cocktail scene was burgeoning and her philosophy was simple: carefully source and sell hard-to-find cocktail supplies. BYOB represented the mantra: "Be Your Own Bartender" (but also Bring Your Own Booze because she sold everything but that 😜 ). Now 15 years later, that humble shop has expanded to what you know as "Cocktail Emporium". From one brick and mortar and hardly an online presence, to three retail shops, a custom website, and a warehouse shipping across North America. From a few bitters and old-fashioned glasses to over 2000 products, including an in-house brand of bar tools, glassware, and garnishes that you'll find in home and professional bars across the continent. From a solo venture to a staff of over 20. It's been quite the journey!
