About
Blue flame, quick heat, zero patience required, a dab torch turns a cold banger into a glowing one in seconds. A dab torch is a handheld butane torch built to heat a nail or quartz banger to dabbing temperature, and DHC carries everything from pocket-sized minis to heavy-duty home-rig torches. How Do You Use a Dab Torch? Six steps from empty rig to a finished dab: Assemble your rig. Fill the water chamber and attach the nail or banger to the joint. Load your dab. Use a dab tool to place a small amount of concentrate somewhere the torch flame can reach directly. Ignite the torch. Light it with the built-in ignition or a lighter, adjusting the flame size first if your torch allows it. Heat the nail or banger. Move the flame around the surface for about 20 to 30 seconds, or until it starts to glow red. Let it cool. Turn off the torch, set it somewhere safe, and let the nail or banger cool for roughly 30 to 40 seconds before dabbing. Take your dab. Touch your concentrate to the surface with a dab tool and inhale through the mouthpiece. Keep the flame under control the whole time, work somewhere ventilated, and never leave the torch burning unattended. Do You Need a Torch, or Can You Use an E-Nail Instead? A torch isn't the only way to heat a banger. An electric dab rig uses a built-in heating element instead of an open flame, so you can set an exact temperature and skip the torch step entirely. It's worth considering if you want consistent heat without butane refills, though a torch is still the more portable choice if you're moving between sessions. How Long Should You Heat a Nail or Banger? Most quartz bangers need about 20 to 30 seconds of direct heat, then a cooldown of roughly 30 to 40 seconds before you dab. Heating longer than that won't improve the hit, it just risks scorching your concentrate. How Often Should You Replace Your Dab Torch? There's no fixed schedule. A well-maintained torch can last for years, so replace yours once you notice an unsteady flame, a
