Black Tourmaline Beads

Black tourmaline is schorl, the iron-rich member of the tourmaline family. The black is solid and consistent, strand to strand, and it is the mineral's own color. Black Flower rounds carry pale bursts of included minerals across each bead; table-cut cubes and top-drilled teeth give the same black in sharper geometry. At Mohs 7–7.5 it stands up to daily wear, and it grounds bright stones as readily as it carries a piece alone — October's birthstone in its darkest form.
