Name: Alan Glazier Nickname: The Ton Machine DOB: January 21, 1939 Home Town: Hayes, England Laterality: Left handed Best achievement: 1979 News of the World finalist Alan Glazier is remembered as a trailblazer in the world of darts being one of the first players to turn professional. ‘The Ton Machine’ reached the final of the prestigious News of the World Championship in 1979 and appeared in nine of the 10 first editions of the BDO World Championship. Also known as ‘The Man in Black’, as he wore black shirts whilst at the oche, Glazier won several big open titles, including the North American Open and Swedish Open, and was one of the pioneers in darts during one of its golden eras in the 1980s. Glazier sadly passed away in 2020. This collection embodies the skill of Alan Glazier with his darts available in both steel tip and soft tip.
