The proud Scot qualified for two BDO World Championships at Lakeside in 2011 and 2016, before jumping over to the PDC and winning his tour card at the first attempt. Soutar’s rise through the ranks in the PDC has seen him reach the Grand Slam of Darts quarter-finals in 2022, along with two runs to the last 16 of the PDC World Championship. Alan Soutar & Mission Darts The darts Alan Soutar currently uses are his signature Mission Alan Soutar Steel Tip Darts in 24g. These darts are made of 90% tungsten and feature a straight barrel design and bull nose, with his Scottish heritage represented with blue and white electro plate coating on the barrels. There is a mixture of radial grooves, with micro cuts in between, on the barrels to help enhance the grip of the dart. This collection also includes the Alan Soutar Darts Shirt , made by Mission, which has been specifically designed for him to wear. The shirt’s design features the Scottish flag and his ‘Soots’ nickname across the front.
