Before competing in the professional darts ranks, Claydon played football for non-league teams including Soham Town Rangers and Newmarket Town. His darts career hit new heights in 2021 when he won a tour card at Q-School and played against the world’s best players on the ProTour for the next two seasons. Claydon regained his tour card at the start of 2024 to earn another two years on the professional circuit.
