The Dutchman, who was only 19 years old at the time, defeated Andrew Gilding in the final to win his first PDC senior title and just three months after becoming a PDC tour card holder. Before his success at the 2022 European Q-School, ‘The Mullet’ caught the eye on the WDF circuit. Jansen was part of the Dutch team that won the WDF Europe Youth Cup boys’ overall title, whilst he also tasted singles success with victories in the Czech Open, West Fries Open and French Open ranking events. Jansen followed in his family’s footsteps as his father Marco also used to play darts. At the end of his first season on the PDC tour, ‘The Mullet’ made his PDC World Darts Championship debut and became a crowd favorite for his mullet haircut. Despite losing his tour card after two years, Jansen has continued to win titles, picking up wins on the Development and Challenge Tours in the early months of 2024. The Power Of The Mullet The darts Danny Jansen currently uses are his signature BULL’s Challenger Danny Jansen Darts in 26g. Jansen plays with a heavier dart than most professionals, with his barrels having a bulbous shape to them. His signature BULL’s steel tip darts were created as a reward for his outstanding achievements on the oche, with the set part of the brand’s Challenger Dart series. The 90% tungsten barrels feature a coarse grip at the front and a finger grip at the rear, with the BULL’s logo and red, white and blue painted rings to match the colors of the Netherlands flag also included in the dart’s design.
