About

Blenders Eyewear launched in 2012 when founder Chase Fisher set up a stand on the Pacific Beach boardwalk in San Diego. His goal was straightforward: sell quality sunglasses at prices that didn't require a second mortgage. What started as a single boardwalk operation selling shades to beachgoers has grown into a brand that captures California's active, outdoor culture. The Blenders collection includes polarized lenses with UV400 protection across aviators, wayfarers, wraparounds, and cat-eyes. Polarization filters out horizontal light waves that create glare on water, snow, and pavement—this means clearer vision when you're driving into the sun or out on the water. UV400 blocks all light rays with wavelengths up to 400 nanometers, covering the entire UVA and UVB spectrum that can damage your eyes over time. The lenses are made from impact-resistant polycarbonate, a lightweight plastic that won't shatter on impact the way glass lenses can. Frames use similar polycarbonate or durable acetate construction. Blenders keeps prices down by selling directly and skipping the traditional retail markup. You get polarized protection and solid construction without paying for luxury branding.
