Anderson has been making detector shafts long enough that most of us have had one on a machine at some point. The carbon fiber rods take real weight out of a swing without the flex you get from a worn aluminum lower, and the coil bolt sets and cable covers are the small parts that keep the whole assembly quiet and rattle free. The Neptune scoop is the same thinking applied to beach hunting, a carbon fiber handle on a proper scoop head, so you are not carrying an extra pound of steel up and down the sand all day.
