The ACE 400 is the top of the ACE line and the point at which the range stops being a starter detector. It runs at a higher frequency than the 300, which makes it noticeably better on small and low-conductivity targets like gold jewelry, and it adds iron audio and a digital target ID scale you can genuinely work with. Frequency adjustment lets you shift away from interference near power lines. A machine you can learn on and still be using confidently several seasons later.
