The ACE Apex is Garrett's multi-frequency machine, and it changed what the ACE name meant. Multi-Flex lets it run either a single frequency or several at once, so it copes with wet salt sand as well as inland ground, and wireless audio comes built in rather than as an accessory. It is light, quick to learn and covers a genuinely wide range of sites for the money. For someone who wants one detector for the beach and the local park, it answers both.
