The AT Pro has been the workhorse of the hobby for well over a decade and remains one of the most recommended detectors ever made. It is waterproof to ten feet, which means creeks, shallows and rain are all fair game, and its Pro Mode audio gives you far more information about a target than a simple tone: you learn to hear the difference between a good signal and a marginal one. Excellent in iron-heavy relic ground. If you want one machine that will keep finding for years, this is a very safe answer.
