Groundtech build 3D ground scanning systems rather than conventional metal detectors, and they answer a different question. Instead of a tone over a buried target, these instruments map what lies under the surface and display it as an image: voids, cavities, tunnels, chambers and large metal objects, at depths measured in meters rather than inches. Several models pair that scanning with a pulse induction detector in the same unit. Survey work, cache research and locating buried structures are what they are for.
