The CTX 3030 has been the serious beach and relic hunter's machine for over a decade, and the reasons hold up. FBS 2 gives it genuine depth on wet salt, the body is waterproof to 3 meters, and the built-in GPS lets you mark finds and plot where you have already covered, which matters more than people expect on a large permission. It is heavy by modern standards. What it lacks in comfort it returns in depth on ground that has been hunted before.
