The Equinox 900 is the machine we recommend more than any other, and it has earned that. Multi-IQ transmits several frequencies at once, so it handles wet salt, dry sand, pasture and iron-heavy sites without you stopping to change settings, and the body is waterproof to five feet so wading is never a worry. Fast recovery speed keeps it separating targets in trash where slower machines blur them together, and there is a coil available for every kind of ground. If you only ever own one detector, this is a very hard one to argue with.
