About
A huge range of door handles with locks and pull door handles separated out to accommodate latch handles, lever handles, ball handles and handles for locks...... all in order to make it an easy and pleasant way to browse. Handle types: All Door handle fitting should be carefully considered when dealing with certain types of door handle, it really is important to make sure you buy a lock with a keyhole if you are fitting a "sash" type lock, sash locks have a latch and a security lock bolt combined whereas "dead" locks have a security lock bolt and are primarily used on front doors where you may only need a fixed pull handle. Internal door handles: We recommend ball type door handles are only fitted to doors with a middle rail such as the panel doors or doors with half glass which will then allow you to fit a longer latch (101mm), this will in turn allow your door handle to be as far away from the door edge as possible, if you have to use the smaller latches (64mm or 76mm) with ball type door handles you run the risk of catching the back of your hand when closing the door. External door handles: We recommend using bolt through single pull type external door handles such as the M33 exterior door handles, M60 external door handles, M49 external door handles etc when the door has projecting mouldings, remember that these external door handles are not suitable for use with a Mortice Sash Lock (the type of lock with a latch) and are most suitable with a Mortice Dead Lock and Yale lock. The rear doors to a house are normally best fitted with a Mortice Sash Lock to allow you easy access to the garden; there is a large selection of exterior door handles, lever/lock type which suit this type of lock. There is a huge range of external door handles available, we can supply external door handles in Aluminium, Stainless Steel, Chrome Plated, Satin Chrome, Polished Brass, Black, White, Porcelain, Glass and also door handles that comprise a mixture of metal finishes.
