Choose sheets for small shapes, rolls for larger layouts or narrow tapes for hems and trims. Sheets: the five-sheet pack contains 9 × 12-inch sheets (approximately 22.9 × 30.5cm each). A manageable starting point for appliqué motifs, lettering and small fabric shapes. Web rolls: choose 12-inch , 18-inch or 24-inch widths for larger shapes or repeated designs. Each roll is 3 yards long (approximately 2.74m); choose the width to fit your layout. Tapes: choose ¼ inch × 40 yards (6.35mm × 36.58m) for narrow trims, or ½ inch × 20 yards (12.7mm × 18.29m) for wider hems and trim placement. Check that the tape fits within the area you want to bond. Is this the Lite or original version? The products in this collection are Lite Steam-A-Seam 2 , the lighter-weight option from The Warm Company. It suits lightweight fabrics and projects where flexibility matters, including quilt appliqué, clothing details, lace and ribbon. It is a bonding adhesive, not a sew-in fabric stabiliser. Can I move the pieces before ironing? Yes. The pressure-sensitive tack lets you position and reposition pieces before the final heat bond. Cut or trace your design, use the release-paper layers as directed, then arrange and check the pieces. Fuse with an iron following the instructions in your pack. A finger-pressed hold is temporary, not the finished bond. Can I sew through it and wash the finished project? Fully fuse the web and let it cool and set before stitching.
