Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, he began painting at age nine, inspired by his artist grandfather. He later earned a degree in Fine Art and has spent over 30 years creating, teaching, and exhibiting his work. Provenza ' s paintings are collected both nationally and internationally. Michael brings a fresh perspective to landscape painting, blending realism and dimensional depth with magical, surreal environments. His signature style, known as " Surrealist Pointillism, " captivates viewers with its vibrant colors and dreamlike atmosphere. " People often tell me they feel like they can walk right into my paintings—they want to be there, " Provenza says.
