About
Rack mount cases are purpose-built portable enclosures designed to transport, deploy, and protect 19-inch rack-mounted electronic equipment in the field. Unlike a standard transit case, a rack case integrates a structural aluminum or steel rail frame — sized to the EIA 310-D standard — directly inside a rugged rotomolded shell, letting you bolt in servers, amplifiers, communications gear, or test instruments and carry the entire assembly as a self-contained unit. Why Choose a Portable Rack Case? Fixed server rooms and equipment racks offer little help when systems must travel to a remote broadcast site, a military forward operating base, a live event stage, or a mobile command post. Rack mount cases solve this by combining the physical interface of a standard equipment rack with the environmental protection of a sealed transport case: IP-rated gaskets keep out dust and water, shock mounts decouple fragile electronics from road or air vibration, and stacking ribs let multiple cases form a stable column in a vehicle cargo hold. The result is a fielded rack that can be bolted open for immediate use, then latched shut and moved without removing a single piece of installed gear. Product Families Available The Peli rack mount portfolio spans eight distinct families, each engineered for a specific balance of protection level, weight, and rack depth: Classic-V — 33-inch (84 cm) deep fixed frame; medium-duty shock mounts; 4U to 9U; the workhorse for broadcast, AV, and government IT applications. Super-V — Available in both 24-inch (61 cm) and 30-inch (76 cm) rack depths; metric M6 and imperial 10-32 cage nuts included; 3U to 14U; suited to communications and ISR deployments. Euro-V — Manufactured in Germany; metric M6 rack frame; cylindrical wall-mounted shock isolators; interstackable with Super-V and BlackBox; 4U to 10U; preferred for European defence and public safety procurement. MAC Rack — Low-profile textured shell; heavy-duty shock mount system rated to high payload c
