Iris Germanica, commonly known as the Bearded Iris. This name derives from the distinctive "Beard" found on the lower part of the petals. With its splendid large flower heads and an array of captivating colors, the Iris Germanica is an authentic spectacle in the summer garden, delighting us year after year. Prefers to grow and flower in full sun or dappled shade. Bearded Iris unfurls its spectacular blooms in May and June. The German Iris plant reaches a height of approximately one metre when its bare roots are planted in sandy or loamy soil that's well-drained.
