The PHOTON chipset is the key improvement over the Pro 2. Where the Pro 2 uses a standard smart chip, the PHOTON chip maintains consistent power delivery as the battery discharges. At 20% battery the Pro 3 still delivers around 80% of peak flavour — most pod kits drop significantly at that charge level. The 1.05 inch HD screen is nearly double the size of the Pro 2's 0.56 inch display and uses a One Scan layout that shows wattage, resistance and battery in a single view without requiring any menu navigation. The battery is 1500mAh, matching the Xlim Go 2 but adding the full screen, PHOTON chip and manual wattage control that the Go 2 lacks. The Xlim Pro 3 accepts all Xlim pods, meaning existing Pro 2 or Go 2 users can carry their current pods over without buying new ones. The nine colour finishes span three distinct texture categories: leather for a premium tactile feel, silk for a smooth premium finish, and carbon for a clean matte look.
