If you ask us, everyone could use some more cheerful Black-Eyed Susans in their summertime display. These widespread wonders blanket open fields beautifully, making them one of the most popular wildflowers grown in North America. Often characterized by luminous, golden-yellow petals , the blossoms are daisy-like with dark brown central cones that are held atop coarse, rough stems. They appreciate some afternoon shade and occasional watering but are otherwise very easy to maintain .
